If ever you have received an extraordinarily special gift from your parents when you were little, you probably treasured it like it was gold. And perhaps you still do? A lot of times parents pass something down to their children that have been in the family for quite some time. I know I have received a few things from my parents that have been handed from generation to generation. And I still hold them dear to my heart.

Give your daughter something to cherish and pass down to her children. Let her have a special memory with you. My mom sat me down and told me the story of the cross necklace and put it around my neck. I was beaming with pride, and so was she to see it on her daughter.

By chance, let’s say, you do not have a tradition to pass down; start your own. My grandmother did not have anything special to her, but she still wanted us to have something extraordinary to carry on with. She had lockets personalized for the girls and pocket knives personalized for the boys. We all treasure them even now. Do something special for your daughter or son!
